VATSIM Canada (VATCAN) is hiring! Currently seeking a qualified member of VATSIM to join the staff as the Flight Information Region (FIR) Chief for the Winnipeg (CZWG) FIR.
The FIR Chief is expected to commit to at least 2 years as the FIR Chief, reporting to the Vatcan Division Director.
Responsible for:
• Providing strong leadership to the FIR Staff
• Advertising and fulfilling vacant staff positions within the FIR
• Maintaining and improving the FIRs website and social media presence
• Ensuring ATC is maintained, encouraging and increasing regular coverage, in particular, increasing the number of current events in the FIR
• Providing regular reports to the Divisional Director
• Applying policies such as GCAP appropriately within the FIR • Any other duties as directed by the Vatcan Divisional Director
Minimum Requirements:
• Currently be an active member of Vatcan
• ATC Rating: C1 or Higher
• Be in good terms with VATSIM, VATCAN and the Flight Information Region with no disciplinary actions within last 2 years.
• Be knowledgeable in the Vatsim and Vatcan Policies, in particular the Code of Conduct, Regulations, GCAP, Transfer and Visiting Policies.
